With Blood, With Ink by Daniel Crozier
Libretto by Peter M. Krask

After years of being silenced, Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz tells her story.

Daniel Crozier's With Blood, With Ink tells the chilling and beautiful story of the life of Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, the iconic 17th century Mexican poetess and nun. In this critically acclaimed opera, we walk alongside Sor Juana as she explores her story from her deathbed, reflects on her life's search for truth, struggles against societal expectations, and wrestles with her own faith.

Join us for the Chicago and Midwest premiere of With Blood, With Ink and witness Sor Juana's fight for independence in the midst of oppression, pain, resistance, and rebellion.

After years of being silenced, Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz begins to speak again.
