During my years of musical training to become a ‘classical’ singer I became aware of the immense gap that has been created between the arts and people. Because I strongly believe that art and music are powerful and necessary means for human connection and communication, finding ways to close that gap has become one of my main concerns. By bringing together disciplines like clowning and what is commonly known as ‘classical music’, (often considered opposites) I seek to create an environment that stirs, questions, confronts and allows an honest, participatory and unself conscious art practice.
